IS A PIGMENTATION THE SAME AS A TATTOO?
Basically, in both processes colors are introduced into the skin. However, this happens during pigmentation by means of a special device with much finer needles, whereby thinner and more accurate lines can be produced than when tattooing. In addition, the pigments are less deeply introduced into the skin during pigmentation – exactly where the degradation of pigments takes much longer. This is just below the epidermis, at the junction to the dermis. Physicians speak of a 0.08 to 0.15 mm deep penetration into the dermis.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FROM PIGMENTATION?
The method has been used successfully for over 15 years, no side effects are known. Our device and the colors used are tested according to the Medical Act and are subject to constant control by the Medical Devices Act.
IS THERE A POSSIBILITY THAT ALLERGIES FROM THE COLOR USED MAY HAPPEN?
For our Contur make-up only medically certified mineral paints from German production are used, which were developed according to the regulations for food and pharmaceutical paints. These paints are obtained on the basis of inorganic and synthetically produced pigments from minerals and packed sterile. A detailed list of all ingredients is available on request. Allergic reactions to these colors are highly likely to be ruled out because they contain no organic or botanical additives that are considered to be major contributors to allergies.
ARE THERE ALSO MEDICAL APPLICATIONS FOR CONTUR-MAKE UP?
The method is ideal for use in various primary indications in human medicine:

– Scars after accidents, burns, surgery and lifting scars
